About my departure.
Greetings, members of the GPA,
For almost a year now i’ve been the prime recruiter, and membership regulator of the GPA. I’ve gone through alot of the facets that we have to offer, and always engaged in things born out of necessity. Admissions, banking, and the occasional military actions in between. Also, i’ve always respected my senior members, and did the best i could to learn from them.
I’m speaking to you today not to promote government policy, or candidates for elections, but as a player of P&W that still believes in the future of the GPA. I’ve done whatever i could to make us grow stronger during my time here, and i feel we’ve accomplished many of the things i set out to do.
However, for a long time now i’ve just been sitting around building and waiting for a second St. Patricks massacre. It never came, even with this heinous extortionist assault by NK there doesn’t seem to be any intent from Orbis to come and join in. Even though i was out of their intended range for the initial attacks, i stayed around to spy away as many agents and nukes i could. I’m now out of both their war and spy ranges entirely, and I’m sure this is the final assault the GPA will endure for a good while given our government stays solid.
Anyway, the attack by NK caused me to feel an enormous guilt towards the people taking the brunt of this. Because while some may see the advancements made through my recruitments and policies as a blessing, they are now directly responsible for this cowardly assault of attention seekers.
From the day i came to P&W from CN GPA, i wished to make this alliance shine again, and decided to work with who or whatever came along that could help make it so. Also, i hoped i could make the veterans of the GPA proud by recruiting as many members that i had time for in the last year or so.
Obvious to everyone, alot was successfully done and learned for our IA during this period. However, along with these successes it seems i’ve caused the rise of new conflicts both in our politics and war for a large part. Including this one with NK that has destroyed the very people i intended to save from a second Saint Patrick.
Therefore, i apologize to all those who got hit because of our #1 position. I never expected our next battle to turn out this way, i’m sorry you guys.
The reason a St. Pats 2 never came i think is because we’ve come to do well enough in the Foreign and Military areas. We’ve managed to keep the peace in diplomacy, and succeeded to militarily fortify the GPA far better than it ever was. I’m proud of everyone who helped out towards achieving these goals, especially the long time government members.
In closing, i’d just like to say that i’ve always believed in our ideology, and our community has become a great sprawling ground of new ideas and support for our cause. I’ve come to see the GPA as a unique place in Orbis during my time in P&W, and i request that everyone who remains continues to do the best they can to defend it.
Well, lastly i just want to wish our current government prosperity in their dealings for the rest of their term.
Special mentions go out to:
Francisco, good luck with your new appointment as Admissions Director, you’ve earned it in my book.
Justin, what do i really need to say, awesome member all around.
I have a lot of faith in you guys for securing the future of the GPA, and I’m sure you’ll make everyone proud with your feats to come.
Well, i’ve given here, and received just as well. I hope to find the GPA an even greater place after the NK madness blows over, and i guess this is goodbye.
Thanks for reading everyone, and long live the GPA.

Re: About my departure.
fwiw from an outsiders prospective I don't think your growth programs in particular had any effect on NK attacking you guys. Your growth programs could be incredibly inefficient, but since you in theory don't have wars/keep growing and don't have massive set backs you would've reached number 1 eventually (I fully expect you'll be back at #1 within the next month or two because PnW is due for a war). *shrugs*

While I might disagree with some of your views Malx65, I greatly appreciate what you have done. You have brought a ton of good stuff to the GPA, and the admissions job you took was in no way easy.
Thank you
Thank you

I don't believe IC meant to imply any growth programs were inefficient, but rather that even if they had been so, we would have reached #1 barring any major setbacks.
IA is all too often thankless work; admissions especially.

This is correct -- I don't know enough either way to comment on how efficient/inefficient the growth programs were.
