THe first one is pretty god damn old, but they update the graphics every so often. I haven't really played the second one, but I think there are different mechanics and much better graphics

I kind a try crusader Kings 2, but had to go back to school, so I never really had the chance to give it a proper run. Is it good?

Oh it's great, it's very complex but that's what makes it fun.

I just started this but I also play CN (too dramatic) and bloc. Offline I like the Making History series. Specifically MH2. Rolling Europe with the Soviets is quite amusing. It's more turn based strategy but there is a little political sim type stuff in there. Supreme Ruler Cold War is good but mind numbing amounts of micromanaging. I dig cold war/WW2 era strategy/nation sim.

There are a few others, I kinda have gaming ADD. Those are my current crack though.

I play CN, but that game is dying a slow death.

I like CK2 and paradox games as well.

Seconded! They've recently added the 'Cossacks' expansion which adds internal politics.

Would you recommend it? The last two expansions have been lackluster, so I have been waiting to read more reviews.

Saw some mentions of Crusader Kings II, I'm really digging this game lately. Been playing the Game of Thrones mod for it, crazy fun.

I would say wait for it to be on sale. I liked common sense as the really did need more things to do between wars. This expansion adds on top of that but I wouldn't call it game changing.

One of the main problems I have with the game at the moment is that the ability to change province's autonomy is sort of pointless. Taken over a new province that's rebellious? Well increase that autonomy then fool! Decrease it once it's accepted you and never mess with this feature again! I feel that there needs to be a benefit to having a less centralised country.

I play CN but mainly for the GPA community over there. It's the only reason why I still have a nation but that game is dying. Hence my move here.
