Pirate Gang Hold Fishermen Hostage

Emperor Tristar Majestica was briefed about a volatile situation in the North Sea. He issued the following statement at the press conference:

"At approximately 6:23 AM, pirates affiliated with the AHM (Anti Hungadada Movement) terrorist organisation took 76 fishermen hostage. Around 200 heavily armed pirates swarmed the fishing group. They surrounded the fishing boats, moving everyone onto the main pirate vessel. Negotiators from the DSDH and HIS are currently communicating with these pirates for the safe release of the fishermen. The situation is extremely volatile. The pirates have demanded that I resign and hand myself to the AHM. They have also demanded $10,000,000,000 in cash. I will not resign nor turn myself in. The army, air force, and navy are observing the situation. We will continue to monitor the situation. I vow today that I will make sure that all 76 fishermen come back alive. The pirates are extremely aggresive and any attempt to make physical contact with them has failed. We are currently talking to them from our control room."

A reporter from Hungadada News (HN) 24/7 asked: "Will military action be taken?" His Highness did not comment on the matter.

The Ministry of the Interior will keep the public informed.

Longships from the DWFP Coastal Defense Fleet have put to sea. We stand by to assault any pirate ships. DWFP law calls for execution on sight for piracy. We have trained units for storming hostage held ships.

The Cape Breton Royal Navy has dispatched the destroyer HMS Glace Bay, to respond to the situation and will be on standby. Cape Breton vows to work with Hungadada to assure the fishermen are safely rescued. Prime Minister Glen McNeil also condemns piracy and vows his country will fight to end piracy.

The Republic of Hungadada thanks Cape Breton, the DWFB and the DeutschReich for their assistance in this situation. The DSDH issued the following orders to all vessels dispatched to the location.

"All navy vessels are keep a distance of 19 nautical miles from the pirate boat (located at 56.5110° N, 3.5156° E). Navy vessels with speecial forces on board are requested to start moving towards Port Royalty Navy Docking Stations 1-10. All special forces will then assemble in the briefing building, and accompanied by 2 platoons from the Hungadada Elite Speical Forces Division, will be briefed for a raid of the pirate boat. There are around 210 pirates on the boat, and they are heavily armed. A raid on the boat is now imminent as the pirates are becoming increasingly hostile, and are threating the lives of fishermen. Supplies on the pirate ship are running low, so a big navy vessel containing 'supplies' will dock in the night and provide the pirates with said 'supplies'. This is a cover-up, as once the navy ship docks, special forces will pour out and conduct the raid. All hostile targets should be neutralised, unless they offer unconditional surrender. The fishermen are all locked up in a large cabin near the back of the ship. A flare should be shot up once all hostiles are neutralized, and the fishermen are safe. INHS Shark and IHNS Scanner (rescue ships) will dock at the vessel and begin rescuing fishermen and arresting pirates. Medical support will be provided on said ships. Once the flare has been shot up, all navy vessels can begin travelling towards the vessel if they feel nessesary.

The DSDH is also aware of a fleet of pirate ships in the south Atlantic (located at 14°35'57.8"S 28°40'23.2"W). That fleet has enough equipment to function as a small army, and their boats too have turrets. There are over 7000 of these pirates on those boats, which number 6 in total. The IHNS Royalty and INHS Sovereignty, with 2 battalions of soldiers are set to depart to intecept these boats in a few hours. The DSDH requests that after the raid on the pirates in the north sea, all navy vessels travel in formation towards the location of the pirate fleet. There are no hostages on board, and full force is authorised. Any pirates surrendering must be arrested, and any pirates in the water should be rescued and then arrested.  IHNS Starbust is also travelling, and will provide air cover with 10 F-16's. The DSDH also recognises that the DR sent submarines to assist, and requests that the submarines begin travelling towards the location of the pirate fleet to survey and track the fleet.

The Republic of Hungadada and the DSDH thanks the Kingdom of Cape Breton, the DWFP and the DeutschReich for their assistance, aid and genorosity in this moment of shock and outrage. Rest assured, all fishermen will come back alive, and the DSDH has full faith in the special forces of all countries involved. Piracy cannot continue to function, and today we will show these pirates that they will not be accepted.

The SMS DeustchReich and SMS Victory have spotted the ships, but were forced to turn around when they were hailed and given 2 minutes to leave or they would kill the hostages, the were reported heading over the Isle of death, we have already sent special forces there, we would like to inform you that a lot of the Imperial Prisoners have been sent there. These men have training and if they are recuited could do some serious damage.

Our DR-S Helicopter, our stealth helicopter has been searching for the Pirate ships, it confirms that on of them has headed and landed in the isles of death but the main ship is not to be seen, we hope your ships arrive soon to help us with our effort

Our FSB counter-piracy director would like to suggest

Load an undefended cargo ship with soldiers, and have FSB agents pose as Sailors, then we allow them to attack and raid the ship, they board the ship and take our agents hostage, they will have trackers on, and then the special forces below the ship kill the Pirates on the cargo ship which will be supplied with rottenibg food. And if the ship leaves without collecting their pirates on our ship, we can track them with our trackers and our agents will be able to free the hostages from the Inside

DWFP early warning aircraft have determined the pirate fleet has broken up into several elements. A small contingent of two large pirate trawlers tried to run thru one of our longship cordons. These unarmed longships opted to ram and board. The 247 pirates on these two ships were either killed in battle or executed after surrender. 49 warriors and 7 shieldmaidens were killed in this action. DWFP, on behalf of their families, are grateful for this opportunity to have sent these warriors to Valhalla. DWFP will turn these two relatively undamaged ships over to the Hungadada Navy whence they arrive on the scene.

Next steps:

After the raid on the pirate ship holding the fishermen hostage, it is proposed that all navy vessels head towards the Isles of Death, so as to intercept the pirate fleet. Both INHS vessels have intercepted communication between the pirate fleet and an unknown target, and communications show that the fleet is headed to the Isles of Death. A submarine from Hungadada, UHDN Delta, has observed heightned activity on the Isles of Death, and combined with communicstion intercepts, the DSDH has reason to believe that the Isles of Death is the HQ of the AHM. If so, we must act quickly to ensure that a full force is mobilised to raid the Isles of Death. The 2nd Corps (total 80,000 soldiers) of the Hungadada Army has been dispatched aboard IHNS Pluto, INHS Polaris, IHNS Obsidian and INHS Tusker.

The pirate fleet is around 6 hours away from reaching the Isles of Death. One of the ships has already reached the Isles of Death. The DSDH requests that all navy vessels begin moving towards the Isles of Death as soon as possible. The Republic understands that the DR has prisoners on the Isles of Death, and knows that they are effective at fighting. Maybe the DR Special forces stationed on the Isles could begin recruiting the prisoners?

Our sole armed naval ship, the DNN Skaftar, is carrying the Mjolnir Regiment and they are chomping at the bit to land on the island. The regiment is comprised of the old, sick, and invalid warriors. This may be their last chance at Valhalla.

UPDATE:

"The fishermen that were held hostage aboard a pirate vessel are now safe and are on their way back to the mainland. Earlier today, the Hungadadian Navy along with assistance from the DWFP, DeutschReich, and Cape Breton successfully conducted a raid of the pirate boat rescuing all 76 fishermen alive. 3 fishermen were injured in the raid, with a few scrapes. 4 special agents were also lightly injured, 2 from Hungadada 1 from the DR and 1 from the DWFP. The Hungadadian government said that it will pay for all medical costs.

Of the 204 pirates that were on board, 56 were killed by the multi-national special forces team that raided the ship, while 148 including the ringleader surrendered. They have been arrested, and will be prosecuted for various charges. The Ministry of the Interior also issued a statement thanking everyone involved including The Republic of Hungadada, the DSDH, the DWFP, the DeutschReich and Cape Breton for their assistance and expertise in providing aid to the 76 fishermen."

It is now safe to say that all ships should begin moving to the Isles of Death to extinguish the final number of pirates who are residing there. HIS has confirmed, using various intelligence collection methods, that the Isles of Death functions as a headquarters for the pirates. As such, the pirate fleet is now 3 hours away from reaching their destination. IHNS Royalty and IHNS Sovereignty have been tracking the fleet, with aircraft carrier IHNS Starburst close behind. The Sovereignty will provide air cover during the interception, and will carry out bombing runs on the buildings identified as targets on the Isles of Death. A fleet of ships from Hungadada carrying 80,000 soldiers is on it's way, and will begin to raid the headquarters as soon as the interception takes place.

UHDN Delta, which scouted under the pirate fleet, noted though advanced infrared imaging that the cargo holds contained unusual items, including several dozen large containers which were sending out a lot of radiation, causing the radiation meter aboard the Delta to climb up to 4.2 sieverts. The material contained inside is radioactive, and thus, it poses a risk to both the marine environment and to humans.

The DSDH asks that all navy vessels involved start moving to the Isles of Death immediately, so as to be ready to intercept the pirates. Full force is authorised, however, missiles and explosives should NOT be used unless absolutely necessary. This precaution is necessary because the fissile material onboard those ships could pose a threat to life, and blowing it up would not be a good idea.

Please inform when your navy vessels are in place and ready for intercepting the pirate fleet.

DNN Skaftar is ready, the Mjolnir regiment would assault these ships or island armed with butter knives if that is all they had.

The DeustchReich will begin a new Naval Fleet of 6 Naval Ships, 1 Submarine 4 Missile Cruisers and 1 Destroyer to protect all ships moving around the Isles of Death, all foreign navies are welcomed to help protect these seas from pirates 


 The Imperial Navy has dispatched its High Seas Fleet to begin their encirclement of the fleet, Aircraft are in the air. 
  The Bundeswehr Deep Sea Diver squadron has been deployed on the Nuclear Submarine SMS Einstein. We have also sent 13,000 Airborne troops to combat these cargo ships, we will not allow these pirates and terrorist to gain nuclear materials. I would suggest we send them to our Nuclear Lab which is the nearest and can see how dangerous these materials are and destroy them if necessary

Our naval ships have been ordered to punch a hole in the cargo ship, allowing our deep sea divers to infiltrate the ship,

  Air Helicopters will land and or allow our troops to fast rope down onto the Pirate Ships

The Prisoners on the Isle are former Imperial Soldiers, we have promised no more affairs between the too nations, however we believe they are planning a nuclear strike on our nation, these men are not pirates and some are seasoned veterans and even served in the NK war. 

We have dispatched a Panzer Army of 3,350 Tanks, and 13,000 Infantry units with 12 CAS Planes and 13 DR-Apache Helos to the isle to monitor the situation, the Empire did build a settlement there New Gewmine which will be our Military Base in that region. 

FSB Agents within the Pirate Organization report they are just hours away. caring Nuclear Materials for a nuclear Bomb, and have 0ver 13,000 soldiers and 14 tons of High End weapons, we have singled our one ship with 4 tons of weapons, we will strike it from the air

When we stated that if recuited they could do serious damage, we meant that if the Pirates recuit them,

 They are serving a "Death Sentence" on the isle, as they were just the common officer, they are being sent away, the Leaders are to be executed by being hanged or by execution squadron.

We thank the DR for their intelligence collection. The Emperor feels that it is a good idea to send the nuclear material to your lab to analyze it. I believe that all ships are in position. The various ships from Hungadada are armed and ready, and the fleet carrying soldiers is also ready. The DNN Skaftar is also ready, and so are the forces from the DR.

The DSDH issues the following order: "With all your might and force, intercept these pirates, attack the Isles, and show them who's boss!"

German forces have caught over 120 exiles who were trying to join the Pirates

We have set up anti-ship weapons on the coast line, and we gave them surrender, our forces on the beach have come ubder Fire and an naval transporter is landing troops into them

Hungadadian F-16's and F/B 332 aircraft are currently conducting bombing runs. Over 2000 pirates have been arrested by the 2nd Corps and sailors from the IHNS Royalty have secured 2 pirate ships arresting all 2341 pirates on board. Cargo is intact. IHNS Sovereignty also secured the main pirate ship that was functioning as the pirate naval command center. 4245 pirates were onboard. 100 were killed in a gunbattle, while 4145 were arrested.

These pirate ships will be taken back to Naval Base Port Royalty where the radioactive material can be sent to the DR Nuclear Lab for analysis.

The 2nd Corps have secured 4 bunkers teeming with sensitive material, includes plans for multiple thermo-nuclear bombs and plans to acquire state-of-the-art military equipment. 3 support vessels from Hungadada has been dispatched to ferry the arrested back to Hungadada.

We request all captured boats and material be sent to our nation immediately to better and get more accurate data and results. We also would like any officers or leaders captured be sent to our jails, we have a couple of questions before they are returned to your custody. We are still in a ground battle on the isle but it will be over shortly

The Republic accepts your request, and will escort the pirate vessels captured towards Naval Base Koffman. Pirate leaders and officers will also be escorted towards the naval base. The Hungadadian Government, however, requests that material from Bunkers 2, 3 and 4 not go to the DR as it contains sensitive material directly regarding The Republic.

The 2nd Corps have secured all important buildings on the Isles, and all non-important buildings that were being used by the AHM have been bombed out. Currently, the process of escorting leaders and officers to ships is underway. Once this process is complete, they will arrive in Naval Base Koffman, and are all yours for questioning. The Navy is also securing the cargo of the pirate fleet, and will escort a boat carrying said cargo to the naval base as well.

Once the files have been analyzed, any necessary information will be shared.

All Hungadadian military operations have ceased, and a total of 6742 pirates were arrested. Of those 6742, 110 of them are either officers or leaders and are on their way to Naval Base Koffman. IHNS Royalty is carrying the all the radioactive cargo in a giant specially built container. She is 40km away from Naval Base Koffman. Do not be alarmed to see IHNS Sovereignty and IHNS Tusken alongside. These vessels were providing escort.
